I love this little apple painting. Was an exercise in stopping before working the surface to death. It seemed like it was going nowhere, so I stopped to let it percolate. When I went back to it, I realized it was done!

Painting with Kat Corrigan

I love taking Kat Corrigan’s painting class. It gets me out of my comfort zone in a fun way. Today was our first class of this session, and this was our first exercise, a painting of a cup. I love the energy of the ground and the shadows. And the colors!
